SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - Cougar Soccer kicked off their season at home as they took on the Lopers of Nebraska Kearney falling 2-1.
USF forced eight shots with seven shots on goal tonight while freshman Martina Krattley scored in the 62nd minute off a blocked shot from Julia Kreutner.
UNK scored quickly in just over two minutes to take a 1-0 lead before taking a 2-0 lead in the 56th minute. The Lopers forced 13 shots on the night landing eight on goal.
Senior Caroline Titze recorded the start in the net while recording six saves.
The Coo will be back in action as they take on the University of Lincoln Blue Tigers on Sunday, September 8 at 11am.
