Sioux Falls, S.D. – The University of Sioux Falls Women's Basketball team saw two of its standout players, Kami Wadsworth and Alexis Rose, earn NSIC Shining 5 honors after leading the Cougars to a pair of decisive victories this weekend.
Wadsworth displayed her versatility, averaging 19.5 points, 5.0 rebounds, 5.0 assists, and 1.0 steal per game while shooting a remarkable 60.0% from the field and 83.3% from the free-throw line.
Against MSU-Moorhead, she delivered a team-high 23 points on 64.3% shooting (9-14), showcasing her ability to score efficiently and consistently. In the Cougars' 96-73 win over Minot State, Wadsworth contributed 16 points and was nearly automatic at the free-throw line, sinking 10-of-11 attempts. She also recorded a season-high six assists and grabbed seven rebounds in a complete performance.
Rose made her mark with elite shooting and a knack for big moments, averaging 17 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 3.0 assists per game. She was unstoppable from long range, hitting 70% of her three-point attempts (7-10) and adding an 83.3% clip from the free-throw line.
Her weekend was highlighted by her first double-double of the season, a commanding 18-point, 10-rebound effort against Minot State. Against MSU-Moorhead, Rose remained efficient, scoring 16 points on 55.6% shooting (5-9) to help the Cougars secure an 87-67 victory.
