SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - The USF women's swim team fell 145-139 in their dual meet against Southwest Minnesota State today. The Cougars secured five first place victories and strong finishes across the board, but came up short.
"We competed well today, showing great energy and focus as a team," stated head coach Rickey Perkins. "There were a few close races where we got out-touched, and winning just one of those events could have turned the meet in our favor, even without diving points. This is a resilient and tough team. Going into every meet knowing we're at a disadvantage by missing two events and still battling to the very end is truly impressive."
