Voss Earns AVCA Division II All-America Honorable Mention After Stellar Senior Season

12/11/2025 1:51:00 PM

LEXINGTON, Ky. – The accolades keep rolling in for University of Sioux Falls volleyball standout Sadie Voss.

The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) announced its 44th annual NCAA Division II All-America teams on Wednesday, and the Cougars' dynamic senior outside hitter earned AVCA All-America Honorable Mention honors—cementing her place among the nation's elite and adding another chapter to an already legendary USF career.

Voss joins an exclusive group of 117 student-athletes across Division II to receive honorable mention recognition, representing 29 programs and the top performers at every position nationwide. For the Lakefield, Minnesota native, it's the latest jewel in a crown that already includes NSIC First Team All-Conference honors and a permanent place in USF's record books.

A FORCE ON ALL FRONTS

When the Cougars needed a spark, they turned to No. 3. And Voss delivered—match after match, set after set.

The six-rotation dynamo commanded the floor all season long, leading USF with 365 kills while averaging 3.35 kills per set—one of the most dominant marks in the Northern Sun Conference. Her offensive firepower was matched only by her efficiency: Voss hit .269 on 937 attacks, a testament to her court awareness and finishing ability.

But the numbers only tell part of the story. Voss wasn't just a scorer—she was everywhere. She tallied 325 digs on the defensive end, contributed 31 blocks at the net, and racked up 408 total points, proving night in and night out that she could impact the game in every phase.

Her relentless consistency propelled the Cougars to a 20–10 overall record and a 14–6 finish in NSIC play, including statement-making victories over five nationally ranked opponents and the team's 4th consecutive trip to the elite NSIC Tournament.

REWRITING HISTORY

This season wasn't just about stats—it was about legacy.

Earlier this fall, Voss etched her name into the permanent fabric of USF Volleyball, surpassing the program's all-time career kills record (1326) and became the first USF Cougar to eclipse 1,000 in both kills and digs (1193). By season's end, she stood atop the mountain as one of the most productive and decorated players in Cougars' history.

ELITE COMPANY

The 2025 AVCA All-America teams featured 42 selections across the first, second, and third teams, showcasing the best of the best from coast to coast. Barry's Valeriya Kozlova claimed Freshman of the Year honors, Concordia-St. Paul's Makenna Nold earned Player of the Year recognition, and Tampa's Brian Imperiale was named Coach of the Year.

Voss now stands shoulder to shoulder with that elite company—a national honoree representing not just herself, but the continued rise of USF Volleyball.
