Gibbs and Paris Claim Titles on Day Three of NSIC Championships as USF Swimming Records Five "B" Cut Times

WEST FARGO, N.D. – The University of Sioux Falls Swimming team continued to showcase its depth and talent on day three of the 2025 NSIC Women's Swim & Dive Championships at the Hulbert Aquatic Center. With nine podium finishes, five NCAA 'B' cut times, five all-conference honors and two individual championships in Charlotte Gibbs and Irene Paris, the Cougars made a significant push in the standings.

Leading the charge for The Coo was Charlotte Gibbs, who dominated the 500-yard freestyle, securing her first title with an NCAA 'B' cut time of 5:01.93. Teammate Alessia Moro was right behind, finishing second with another NCAA 'B' cute time of 5:02.61, marking an impressive 1-2 finish for the Cougars. Sarah Knox added to the team's scoring efforts, taking fifth place in 5:05.88.

In the 100-yard backstroke, Isabella Perkins put together a strong performance, finishing 11th overall with a time of 58.08.

USF shined in the 100-yard breaststroke, with Inte Pas taking second place in 1:03.06, earning an NCAA 'B' cut. Teammate Inn She Yap added a seventh-place finish in 1:05.61.

The Cougars dominated the 200-yard butterfly, with Irene Paris securing her first title in 2:04.81, an NCAA 'B' cut time. Josephine Schneider claimed second place in 2:06.22, and Emily Groom finished fifth in 2:07.63, solidifying a standout event for USF.

In the 200-yard freestyle relay, the team of Inte Pas, Inn She Yap, Madelyn Buck, and Emily Groom clocked in at 1:38.22, securing sixth place and adding valuable points to the team total.

At the conclusion of day three, USF remains in fourth place in the overall team standings with 469 points as the approach St. Cloud State in third with 486.5 points.

The NSIC Championships will conclude on tomorrow with the final events, including the 100-yard IM, 100-yard freestyle, 200-yard backstroke, 200-yard breaststroke, 1650-yard freestyle and 400-yard freestyle relay along with diving events. Prelims will begin at 10am tomorrow with finals beginning at 5:30pm.
