Inte Pas claims fourth consecutive title in 200 breaststroke at NSIC Championships

Moro, Pas and Schneider Claim Event Titles While USF Closes NSIC Championships in Fourth

WEST FARGO, N.D. – The University of Sioux Falls Swimming team concluded an outstanding performance at the 2025 NSIC Women's Swim & Dive Championships at the Hulbert Aquatic Center, securing seven podium finishes, four all-conference honors, three event champions and two NCAA 'B' cut times on the final day of competition. Overall, the Cougars secured 27 podium finishes, 14 all-conference performances, 11 NCAA 'B' cut times and seven event champions to finish the championships in fourth place with 632-points.

Leading the way for Sioux Falls on the final day was Alessia Moro, who dominated the 1650-yard freestyle, clocking an NCAA 'B' cut time of 17:11.89 to claim first place in the event and her second title of the meet. Teammate Sarah Knox also had a strong showing, finishing third with all-conference honors and a time of 17:32.92, while Weronika Mrozek placed 14th in 18:37.32.

In the 200-yard breaststroke, Inte Pas continued her success by becoming a four-time event champion while securing a first-place finish with an NCAA 'B' cut time of 2:17.83. Inn She Yap followed closely, placing fourth in 2:21.66, while Emily Aten contributed in the C-final, finishing 17th overall in 2:24.70.

The Coo also found success in the 100-yard freestyle, with Charlotte Gibbs finishing fifth with a time of 52.15.

In the 200-yard backstroke, Isabella Perkins placed 13th with a time of 2:08.22, while Irene Paris followed in 16th place with 2:08.79.

USF's relay team continued to make an impact. The 400-yard freestyle relay team, consisting of Charlotte Gibbs, Inn She Yap, Isabella Perkins, and Josephine Schneider, placed fourth with a time of 3:28.36.

"I am incredibly proud of these young women and all they have accomplished this season," stated head coach Rickey Perkins. "The NSIC Championships were a fantastic way to cap off months of dedication, perseverance, and hard work. From early mornings in the pool to intense training sessions in the weight room, their commitment never wavered, and it all paid off this weekend. Watching them grow as athletes and teammates has been truly rewarding, and I couldn't be more excited for what the future holds for this team."

The Cougars will now wait to see who will make the NCAA National Championships scheduled for March 11-15 in Indianapolis, Indiana.
