MINOT, N.D. - The University of Sioux Falls Softball team struggled to generate offense on Sunday, falling 1-0 in a pitchers' duel in Game 1 before falling 13-0 in Game 2. With the losses, the Cougars move to 13-13 on the season and 1-3 in NSIC play.
GAME 1: MINOT STATE 1, SIOUX FALLS 0
In a classic pitchers' duel, Maddi Duncan delivered a dominant performance, striking out nine batters while allowing just four hits. However, Minot State broke through in the sixth inning with a solo home run, which proved to be the game's only run. USF's offense managed four hits, with Hannah Soderbeck reaching base twice.

GAME 2: MINOT STATE 13, SIOUX FALLS 0 (5 Innings)
The Beavers' offense exploded in Game 2, scoring nine runs in the fourth inning to put the game out of reach. The Cougars were held to just two hits, while Minot State clubbed three home runs.

The Cougars (13-13, 1-3 NSIC) will look to bounce back as they return home to take on Minnesota State (19-11, 3-1 NSIC) on Wednesday, March 26th at 1pm and 3pm. USF will also host Minnesota Crookston (13-18, 1-3 NSIC) and Bemidji State (14-14, 1-3 NSIC) next weekend with games scheduled for Saturday and Sunday.
