SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Demonstrating excellence in both the classroom and on the court, four members of the University of Sioux Falls Women's Basketball team—Ayla Brown, Dani Minsaas, Kami Wadsworth, and Madison Wuebben—have been named to the Academic All-District Team, selected by College Sports Communicators (CSC). This award highlights student-athletes who excel academically while making a significant impact on the court.

Balancing Academics and Athletics

To qualify for Academic All-District honors, student-athletes must uphold a minimum 3.50 cumulative grade point average and meet participation standards, which include playing in at least 90% of games or starting in at least 66%. Brown, Minsaas, Wadsworth, and Wuebben all exceeded these expectations, showcasing their dedication to both their studies and their team.

Ayla Brown – Sophomore | Becker, Minn.

She was highly efficient, shooting 43.7% from the field and 44.3% from beyond the arc. One of her top performances came in a weekend sweep against Augustana and Minnesota Crookston, where she averaged 16.0 points and 8.0 assists per game. Ayla is majoring in Exercise Science.

Dani Minsaas – Sophomore | Chili, Wis.

A steady presence throughout the season, Minsaas appeared in all 31 games and started 19, contributing with 3.9 points per game while adding 81 rebounds, 41 assists, and 36 steals. Dani is majoring in Criminal Justice & Political Science.

Kami Wadsworth – Sophomore | Hayti, S.D.

Wadsworth delivered a historic season, setting a new USF D2-era single-season scoring record with 585 points. Averaging 18.9 points per game, she shot 48.3% from the floor and 86.3% from the free-throw line. She reached double figures in 29 games, surpassed 20 points in 12 contests, and capped her season with a career-best 31-point performance against Northern State. Kami is majoring in Elementary Education.

Madison Wuebben – Graduate Student | Yankton, S.D.

In her final collegiate season, Wuebben provided key contributions in 30 games, logging 235 minutes and tallying 55 points, 33 rebounds, and 13 assists. Madison is working to complete her Masters in Business Education.
