SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – University of Sioux Falls Women's Basketball Head Coach Travis Traphagen has announced the signing of Olivia Hayenga, a dynamic guard who will join the Cougars for the 2024-25 season.

A 5-foot-10 guard from Worthington, Minnesota, Hayenga brings an impressive basketball resumé to USF. A former standout at Worthington High School, she was a two-time All-Conference First Team selection, a team MVP, and a 1,000-point scorer.

Following high school, Hayenga continued her success at the collegiate level, playing at Minnesota West before transferring to Augustana. At Minnesota West, she established herself as one of the most dominant players in NJCAA Division III, earning NJCAA D3 Player of the Year honors in both 2023 and 2024 while also being named an NJCAA D3 All-American both seasons. She set program records in points, rebounds, steals, and blocks, and in 2024, she helped lead her team to an NJCAA D3 National Championship, earning game MVP honors.

During her time at Minnesota West, Hayenga averaged 20 points and 10 rebounds as a freshman before improving those numbers to 22.8 points, 12.1 rebounds, and 5 assists per game as a sophomore. At Augustana, she contributed 11.2 points and 4.5 rebounds per game.

In addition to her on-court accomplishments, Hayenga excelled academically, earning NJCAA All-Academic First Team honors and MCAC All-Academic recognition.

Coach Traphagen expressed his excitement about Hayenga joining the program, stating, "We are extremely excited about Olivia joining the Cougar family! We really believe she will help us improve in all areas. She can score the ball at all three levels and really rebound well from a perimeter position. Recruiting her after basketball season wrapped up was a quick process, but no doubt her personality and kind heart will fit in great with our team."

Hayenga intends to major in Graphic Design at USF and will look to make an impact when she steps on the court for the Cougars next season.
