PUEBLO, COLO. – The University of Sioux Falls Track & Field program was represented by five athletes at the NCAA Division II Outdoor Championships, hosted by CSU-Pueblo from May 22–24. The Cougars competed in six total events, earning two First Team All-American honors and a new school record.
Senior Emily Swanson placed 8th in the women's heptathlon with a school-record total of 5,271 points, earning First Team All-American honors. Her results across the seven events:

100m Hurdles: 14.00 seconds (1.2 m/s wind), 4th, 978 points.

High Jump: 1.63m (5-4 ¼), 7th, 771 points.

Shot Put: 12.49m (40-11 ¾), 8th, 694 points.

200m: 25.84 seconds (1.5 m/s wind), 13th, 811 points.

Long Jump: 5.39m (17-8 ¼, 1.7 m/s wind), 10th, 668 points.

Javelin Throw: 35.17m (115-4), 8th, 575 points.

800m: 2:23.73, 10th, 774 points.
Tyler Hiatt: Men's Shot Put and Hammer Throw
Senior Tyler Hiatt placed 8th in the men's shot put with a throw of 17.68m (58-0 ¼), earning First Team All-American honors. His shot put series: 17.68m, foul, 16.97m, 17.44m, 17.58m, 17.49m. In the hammer throw, Hiatt placed 20th with a best of 56.43m (185-1). His hammer series: 52.76m, 56.43m, 55.90m.
Junior Tamia Horton ran 11.60 seconds (2.7 m/s wind) in the women's 100m first round, placing 6th in heat 1 and 19th overall.
Senior Olivia Baumberger placed 15th in the women's javelin throw with a best of 43.74m (143-6). Her series: 39.87m, 42.64m, 43.74m.
Senior Kamry Lindsey placed 18th in the women's discus throw with a best of 45.36m (148-10). Her series: 45.36m, foul, 44.98m.
USF Track & Field concluded its season with two top-eight finishes and strong representation across multiple events, continuing to build a presence on the national stage.
