LEXINGTON, Ky. – The University of Sioux Falls Volleyball team has once again been recognized for its excellence in the classroom, earning the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Team Academic Award for the 2024-25 season. The Cougars posted a strong cumulative GPA of 3.604, showcasing their commitment to academic success alongside athletic performance.

The AVCA Team Academic Award honors collegiate and high school volleyball programs that maintain a year-long GPA of 3.3 or higher. This year, more than 1,450 teams across the country achieved this standard.

USF continues to set the bar for academic achievement, earning this national recognition for the 17th consecutive season dating back to 2008-09. In total, the Cougars have received the AVCA Team Academic Award 19 times, with earlier honors coming in 1995-96 and 1996-97.

"We talk a lot about being excellent in everything we do, and that starts in the classroom," said USF Head Coach Dan Mathews. "I'm incredibly proud of our team's consistency and dedication to their academics year after year. It's a reflection of their hard work and the support they give one another."
