CORAL SPRINGS, FLA. – The University of Sioux Falls Women's Golf program continued its tradition of academic excellence as three Cougars—
Bryn Huber,
Tanna Phares, and
Abbie Ritzer—were named to the 2024-25 WGCA All-American Scholar Team, as announced by the Women's Golf Coaches Association on June 30.
This prestigious honor is reserved for student-athletes who excel both in the classroom and on the course. To earn the honor, student-athletes must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher, remain on the roster through the end of the season, and compete in at least 50% of the team's rounds.
Their recognition highlights a season defined not just by athletic performance, but by strong academic discipline as well—showing the balance, focus, and dedication it takes to succeed at the collegiate level both on the course and in the classroom.
The WGCA, founded in 1983, annually recognizes women's collegiate golfers who uphold the highest standards of academic and athletic dedication. This year, 1,499 student-athletes across 403 programs earned the honor.
