SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Midwest Sports+, the Upper Midwest's fast-growing sports streaming platform, is proud to announce a new partnership with the University of Sioux Falls that will bring Cougar athletics to more fans than ever before.
Beginning this fall, Midwest Sports+ will carry all home football and home men's and women's basketball games from USF live on the app. This partnership provides a new and convenient way for Cougar fans, alumni and families to follow the action wherever they are.
"This new partnership strategically expands our brand while increasing viewer access in key markets for us. Midwest Sports+ brings a clear vision and strong commitment to sports coverage in the Sioux Falls area, making this collaboration a perfect fit," said Jon Hart, USF Director of Athletics. "We deeply value the coverage and relationships we've built with Forum Communications, and we're excited to elevate that connection even further in 2025–26."
Fans can expect a high-quality streaming experience, including expert commentary. Veteran broadcaster Tom Frederick will return for play-by-play of USF football, while longtime local sports personality John Gaskins will handle basketball play-by-play duties. Gaskins is well known to Sioux Falls audiences as the host of Happy Hour with John Gaskins, available on both SiouxFallsLive.com and the Midwest Sports+ app.
"This partnership reflects our mission to showcase the best of local and regional sports," said Mary Jo Hotzler, chief content officer for Forum Communications Company. "USF has a strong athletic tradition, and we're excited to help bring that to a wider audience and in this new way."
Midwest Sports+ and SiouxFallsLive.com are both part of the Forum Communications media network. The app is now available for download on all major devices and smart TVs. The app also features weekly high school games of the week from the Sioux Falls metro area and beyond.
USF Athletics will continue to broadcast all events on the NSIC Network in addition to the new partnerships with Midwest Sports+ while radio broadcasts for USF Football will continue on KWSN 98.1 FM.
