SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - University of Sioux Falls Head Golf Coach Wade Merry has announced the signing of Justin Orn (Inver Grove Heights, Minn.) to the Cougar men's golf program for the 2026–27 season. Orn transfers to USF from Alexandria Technical & Community School and will have three years of eligibility remaining.

Orn comes to Sioux Falls after a strong freshman season at Alexandria Technical & Community School, where he posted a 76.4 scoring average and ranked No. 28 nationally in NJCAA Division II. He recorded four top-seven 
finishes and averaged 74 during five fall tournaments before suffering a wrist injury in the spring of 2025. A graduate of Simley High School, Orn was a three-time All-Metro Conference selection and qualified for the Minnesota Class AAA State High School Golf Tournament as a junior. He was also a multi-sport athlete, competing in hockey during his prep career. Orn plans to major in Business at USF.
"Justin is a great addition to our program and I am excited he chose USF to continue his education and golf career," Merry said. "His freshman year at Alex Tech was outstanding, especially considering he battled a wrist injury in the spring, which skewed his scoring average. He averaged 74 in five tournaments during the fall of his freshman year, before getting hurt. Wisely, he opted to sit out this season to heal completely. He will be at full strength when he joins us for the 2026–27 school year and I am expecting him to contribute for us immediately."
Orn will not compete during the 2025–26 season as he continues his recovery from the wrist injury suffered in the spring of 2025. He will arrive on campus healthy and ready to compete when he joins the Cougar lineup for the 2026–27 season. Orn is the son of Rob and Mary Orn of Inver Grove Heights, Minn.
