BURNSVILLE, Minn. – The Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference announced its weekly honors today, with University of Sioux Falls Softball standout Maddi Duncan earning NSIC Pitcher of the Week recognition for her dominant performances in the circle against Minnesota Crookston and MSU Moorhead over the weekend.

Duncan, a senior right-handed pitcher from Lincoln, Nebraska, put together an exceptional weekend for the Cougars, going 2-0 with two complete-game victories while leading USF to key conference wins.

Over 14.0 innings of work, Duncan posted a stellar 0.64 ERA, allowing just one earned run on six hits. She was nearly unhittable throughout the weekend, holding opponents to a .120 batting average while showcasing elite command and strikeout ability.

Duncan struck out 26 batters across her two appearances, averaging nearly two strikeouts per inning. Highlighting her performance was a career-best outing against Minnesota Crookston, where she recorded 15 strikeouts — setting a new University of Sioux Falls single-game record.

She also demonstrated exceptional pitch control, recording eight strikeouts looking as she consistently kept opposing hitters off balance.

This marks Duncan's second NSIC Pitcher of the Week honor this season, previously earning the award on March 9.
