GREENWOOD, Ind. – The University of Sioux Falls women's tennis team continued to be recognized for its excellence in the classroom as three Cougar student-athletes earned College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District® honors, the organization announced earlier this week.

Junior Ella Hancock, junior Sydney Osburn, and senior Sofiya Janos were each recognized for their combined achievements in academics and competition, representing the Cougar women's tennis program among the nation's top NCAA Division II student-athletes.

The CSC Academic All-District® program honors student-athletes who have demonstrated outstanding performance both in competition and in the classroom, recognizing the balance required to excel as a collegiate student-athlete. Honorees are evaluated based on academic achievement and athletic contributions during the 2025-26 season.

The trio helped guide the Cougars to another successful campaign in 2025-26, as USF advanced to the NSIC Tournament for the eighth consecutive season and continued to build on the program's steady rise within the conference.

Hancock closed out an impressive Cougar career as a steady contributor throughout the lineup, bringing leadership and consistency in both singles and doubles competition throughout the 2025-26 campaign.

Osburn capped her collegiate career with another strong season, serving as a key veteran presence for the Cougars while delivering important singles and doubles performances throughout the season.

Janos continued her emergence as one of the program's rising standouts in her sophomore season, making an impact across the lineup while helping the Cougars remain among the NSIC's top programs.

Academic All-District® honorees are eligible for consideration for the CSC Academic All-America® ballot, with the 2025-26 Academic All-America® teams scheduled to be announced on June 2, 2026.

The CSC Academic All-America® program recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined excellence in athletics and academics and is regarded as one of the premier academic honors in collegiate sports.
