HUDSON, Wis. – The University of Sioux Falls men's golf team captured a fourth-place finish at the Maverick Fall Brawl, held Sept. 14-15 at Troy Burne Golf Course. The Cougars posted a two-round score of 603 (+35) on the par-71, 6,929-yard course, improving by 11 strokes during the final round.
Charlie Hanson led the way with his second consecutive top-10 finish, tying for fifth at 147 (+5). Jadan Ford and Luke Ehlers joined Hanson near the top of the leaderboard, each finishing tied for 10th at 149 (+7) as Sioux Falls placed three golfers inside the top 10.

How It Happened
Sioux Falls opened the Maverick Fall Brawl with a 307 (+23). Hanson paced the Cougars with a 74 (+3), while Ford and Ehlers each turned in rounds of 75 (+4). Dawson Ringler rounded out the scoring with an 83 (+12).
The Cougars responded with a strong second round, cutting 11 strokes from their opening-round score to fire a 296 (+12). All four counting golfers shot 75 or better as Hanson led USF with a 73 (+2). Ford and Ehlers followed with matching 74s (+3), while Ringler made an eight-stroke improvement to card a 75 (+4). The balanced final-round effort helped Sioux Falls secure fourth place in the 12-team field.
Top Cougar Performers
Hanson continued his strong start to the fall with rounds of 74 and 73 to finish tied for fifth at 147 (+5). His final-round 73 was the lowest score by a Cougar during the tournament. The top-five showing followed his T-9 finish at The Mule, giving Hanson back-to-back top-10 finishes.
Ford and Ehlers finished side-by-side on the leaderboard, tying for 10th at 149 (+7). Both golfers improved by one stroke during the final round after opening with matching 75s. Ford carded a 74 in round two, while Ehlers matched him to give USF three golfers inside the top 10.
Ringler made the largest improvement of any Cougar, bouncing back from an opening 83 to shoot a 75 in the final round and finish tied for 40th at 158 (+16).
