Johnson’s name is already all over the USF record books, as she ranks no. 1 in single-season sets played (153), no. 4 (451, 2011) and no. 8 (391, 2013) in single-season kills and 8th all-time in single-season kills per set average (3.31)…in the third set of the match at No. 1 Concordia-St. Paul (10/18), became the first Cougar since 2010 (Danielle Roers) to join the 1,000 Kill Club…has four all-tournament nods to her name, including a spot on the 2013 NSIC Challenge All-Tournament Team…2012 and 2013 NSIC All-Academic selection.
2014 (SENIOR): Four-year starter appeared in all 120 sets and 31 matches… led the team for fourth straight season… posted 398 kills, 3.32 per set and .231 hitting percentage…accumulated 24 double figure kills…recorded two times with 20 or more kill matches…collected 24 assists and 30 aces, 0.25 aces per set…her all around play included 270 digs, average of 2.25 per set… ranked her second on the team in digs…was responsible for 54 (3 solo and 51 assist) of the team’s blocks this season, averaging 0.45 per set…led the team with 11 double-doubles including (Montevallo 10 kills, 19 digs (9/5), Fort Hays State 15 kills, 11 digs (9/12) University of Mary, 11 kills, 10 digs (10/3), Northern State 26 kills, 16 digs (10/10), Moorhead 13 kills, 10 digs (10/11), Augustana 20 kills, 17 digs (10/14), Winona 15 kills, 12 digs (10/17), Mankato 19 kills, 11 digs (10/24), Southwest Minnesota 12 kills, 12 digs (10/28), Bemidji State 10 kills, 11 digs (11/1), Minnesota Duluth 16 kills, 10 digs (11/11) …tied career best 26 kills on 74 total attacks with a .243 hitting percentage and picking up 16 digs to help USF defeat Northern State in a five set comeback (10/10)…tallied 20 kills and 17 digs to bring the team to five set victory over nationally ranked Augustana.
2013 (JUNIOR): Appeared in 31 matches and 118 sets...garnered NSIC second team honors...floored 391 kills to lead the team for the third straight season...collected 23 double figure kills…posted a 3.31 kill per set average…recorded four times with 20 or more kill matches…accounted for 18 assists and 32 aces, a 0.27 aces per set clip…she also had her 177 digs, with a dig per set ratio of 1.50…was responsible for 60 of the team’s blocks this season (52 assist, 8 solo) posting a 0.51 block per set average…led the team with five double-doubles...recorded her first double-dip in the Cougars’ five-set comeback victory against Augustana College (9/21), where she floored 21 kills and was credited with 12 digs...reached double figures in kills in 23 matches, including a career-best 26 kills in the Cougars' crucial four-set victory against Minot State (11/9)…also tallied 20+ kill efforts against Jamestown (23) and St. Cloud State (21)…tallied double-digits digs in six matches, dug out a season-best 14 shots versus MSU Moorhead (9/27).
2012 (SOPHOMORE): Appeared in 30 matches and 107 sets…led the team in both kills (305) and aces (33) for the second straight season…averaged 2.85 kills per set…accumulated 19 double figure kills…chipped in 200 digs (1.87/set) …tossed up 49 total blocks to rank third on the squad…tallied five double-doubles, including a 19-kill, 16-dig effort in the Cougars’ road upset of Winona State (10/27)…hit a season-best .529 with 10 kills, four digs, two aces and two block assists in a sweep of St. Cloud State (9/22), the Cougars’ first NSIC win…posted a .500 attack clip in a trio of non-conference wins, versus Dakota Wesleyan (9/5), Bethel (9/8) and Dakota State (10/23)…finished with a .201 attack percentage…named to the NSIC Fall 2012 All-Academic Team.
2011 (FRESHMAN): Impressive rookie campaign, played in a school record 153 sets (tied with Tashayla Person)...led the Cougars in kills (451), kills per set (2.95)...her 451 kills was the fourth-highest single season total in school history...posted 24 double figure kills…recorded five times with 20 or more kill matches…stood second on the team with 15 double-doubles. Landed a team-high 44 aces (0.29/set) and posted 0.39 blocks per set...racked up 539.5 total points. Her best match came in a five-set loss to Lindenwood (10/29), where she tallied a career-best 28 points on a season-high 25 kills with 13 digs and four blocks...named the USF Player of the Week for the week of Oct. 9-16 after posting 20 kills to help the Cougars rally from a 0-2 deficit to defeat Henderson State at the 4th Annual La Quinta Inn & Suites/Arkansas Tech Volleyball Invitational (10/14)...hit a season-best .526 with 11 kills and career-high five aces in the sweep of Black Hills State (11/11)...named to the Grand View Fall Classic, La Quinta Inn & Suites/Arkansas Tech Volleyball Invitational and the Locos Grill Transition All-Tournament squads...received 2011-12 student-athlete all academic award.
HIGH SCHOOL: Earned three varsity letters at Platte-Geddes High School...impressive senior season; recording 468 kills, 57 blocks, 326 digs and 35 aces... earned first team All-State, All-SESD conference and All-SCC conference honors as a senior...named 2010 Class-A Miss Volleyball and a Q107 Elite 8 Captain... received second team All-State, All-SESD conference, All-SCC conference and Class A All-Tournament team honors as a junior...also played basketball and ran track.
PERSONAL: Daughter of Chad and Darla Johnson...has a brother, Coby...nursing major...volunteers as a T-ball coach and with vacation bible school.
