2013 (JUNIOR): Named second team All-NSIC despite missing a third of the season with a leg injury…NSIC Offensive Player of the Week (10/28)...appeared in 81 sets as a starting middle blocker ... ranked third in the NSIC with 1.12 blocks per set…posted a .309 hitting percentage to lead the team for the third straight season…recorded five double figure kills…played one of the best matches of her career against rival Augustana, flooring 20 kills—five more than her previous career-high—hitting .450 (20-2-40) and posting five blocks for 24 points to lead the Cougars to their first win against the Vikings in more than thirty years (9/21)…finished with 10 kills and a .304 attack percentage to go with seven blocks versus Southwest Minnesota State (9/23)…went 12-4-26 (.308) with six blocks in a 3-1 home loss to MSU Moorhead (9/27)…then saw limited action for nearly a month but returned with style, recording a double-double effort with 11 kills and career-best 11 blocks to pilot the Cougars to the program’s first-ever win against a nationally ranked NCAA opponent when they rallied from a 2-0 set deficit to upset then-No. 6 SMSU on the road (15-25, 19-25, 27-25, 25-16 and 15-13) on 10/22…finished 11-2-15 (.600) with four blocks in a home sweep of Bemidji State (10/26)…tallied five assists and eight total digs…named to the Fall NSIC All-Academic Team for the second straight year. |
2012 (SOPHOMORE): Appeared in every match…put down a total of 199 kills and a team-high 95 blocks (33 solo, 62 block assists)…recorded seven double figure kills…accounted for 51 percent of the team’s total block output….posted a .296 attack percentage to lead the team for the second year in a row…hit a career-best .714 with 10 kills on 14 swings with no errors in a four-set win against Oklahoma City (9/7)…tallied a career-high 15 kills versus Jamestown College (8/31)…notched a career-high eight blocks (four solo, four assist) with eight kills, an ace and a dig in the Cougars’ sweep of Bethel College (9/8)…also tallied seven blocks versus Oklahoma City (9/7) and six stuffs against both Southwest Minnesota State (10/16) and Dakota State (10/23)…finished with 10 aces and 20 digs…member of the NSIC Fall 2012 All-Academic Team for volleyball.
2011 (FRESHMAN): Had a breakthrough rookie campaign… saw time in every match and played in 152 total sets...led the Cougars with a .288 attack percentage...recorded ten double figure kills…was also the team leader in solo blocks, with 21...had 121 total blocks which put her second only to Alyssa Chambers...stood third with 314 kills and 24 service aces...tallied 59 digs and 409 total points. Led the offensive charge in USF's five set comeback win against Dakota State (10/28), posting a career-high 19 kills on 32 swings (.594) with four blocks for a season-high 22 points...hit a season-best .650 (minimum 10 attempts) in a sweep of William Jewell (11/10) when she posted 14 kills on 20 swings with just one error...hit at a .400 clip or better in 11 matches and .300 or better in 14 matches...posted a career-high seven blocks twice against Minot State (10/3) and Lindenwood (10/29).
HIGH SCHOOL: Standout career at Bellevue East...led the Chieftains to back-to back state tournament appearances (2009-2010) for the first time in program history...tied for first in the state (Nebraska) in blocks per game and also finished amongst the state leaders in ace serves and hitting percentage...named the Runza Fox 42 Student Athlete of the Week in September 2010... set the school single-season record for blocks (102) as a junior...received honorable mention all-state and all-metro accolades...also a member of the 2009 academic all-state volleyball team...participated in NSAA all-star volleyball game...ran track...class vice-president...National Honor Society member...homecoming queen.
PERSONAL: Daughter of Jerry and Shelly Lovell...has a brother, Trevor...nursing major...professional goal is to be a nurse...broke her nose in a volleyball match the day she was crowned homecoming queen.
