Biography

CAREER: Receivedthree postseason All-American honors in 2015, including being named to the first team defense on both the American Football Coaches Association DII Team and the AP Little All-American Squad for the second straight year, a first for Cougar at the DII era...named to the Conference Commissioner's Association DII Team and named a finalist for the Cliff Harris Award as the top small college defensive player in 2015...Recorded 22 career interceptions, an all-time record at USF...has four more picks than second place. John Fuller, who had 18 in 1982-85...the 22 interceptions all occurred in league games, one of the top three totals in leadue history...ranked first in the NSIC in interceptions with nine...led NSIC in picks for second straight year...only player in D2 with nine or more interceptions in each of past two seasons...ranked in the top five nationally for second straight year....has 21 interceptions in the last 24 games...11-time All-American , two-time first team All-NSIC performer who ranks first nationally for career interceptions among active players in NCAA at all levels...has 24 passes (2.0 per game) defended in 2015 which ranks third nationally and in the NSIC...sits fourth among active players in the NCAA with 55  career passes defended...owns school record with six TD interception returns, including three in 2015....tied the season record at USF with 10 picks in 2014...named the HERO National Defensive Preseason Player of the Year this summer...twice nominated for Clifford Harris Award (defensive player of the year)....has appeared in 41 games, making 30 starts with 145 career tackles and 105 solo stops. On his 22 interceptions, he has 518 return yards, which ranks first all-time at USF and one of the league’s and nation's top career totals...had three career forced fumbles.

2015 (Senior): had nine interceptions to lead the league and rank fifth in D2....had 15 pass breakups for second in the NSIC and third nationally...had 213 yards in interception returns with three pick six TDs...had 22 solo tackles and 31 total with TFL and forced fumble...twice had two interceptions in a game.

2014 (JUNIOR): Started all 12 games…recorded 63 tackles, which ranked third on the team…had 44 solo stops (3rd on the team) and 19 assists…with 10 interceptions tied the school record of Phil Porter (1995)…led NCAA DII and the NSIC with 10 interceptions…ranked second nationally for picks per game at .8 and had an NCAA DII and NSIC-best 214 interception return yards…had two interception returns for TD (76, 35), which was tied with four others with the most in DII…had a career-best three interceptions for 76 yards against MSU Moorhead (9/27/14), including a 76-yard TD returns…tied a career-best with three interceptions for 62 yards, including a 35-yard TD return, against Southwest Minnesota State (10/18/14)… posted one interception vs. Minot State (9/6/14)…broke up a pass in the end zone to seal a 23-12 victory against rival Augustana (10/11/14)… had a season/career high of 11 (6 solo and 5 assists) tackles in a win over Winona State (10/25/14)… ranked sixth in the NSIC with two forced fumbles…was tied for third in the NSIC with 13 pass breakups…his 23 passes defended led NSIC and ranked second nationally (23, 1.9 per game)…combined with fellow cornerback mate John Tidwell, totaled 42 passes defended, nine more than the second best tandem in the NSIC…had five or more tackles per game six times…also had a fumble recovery.

2013 (SOPHOMORE): Played in all 11 games, making six starts including each of the first six contests... recorded at least one tackle in all 11 games…logged 47 tackles, including 40 solo stops…ranked eighth on the squad in tackles…also had one TFL for three yards, three pass breakups and three interceptions for a total of 94 yards…earned his first start in the loss at UMD (9/7/13) and was credited with three stops…tallied four stops at Northern State (9/14/13)…began to see more duty in the loss at U-Mary (9/21/13) and responded with eight tackles (six solo) and a pass breakup…had three tackles in the win against Minnesota Crookston (9/28/13)…recorded four tackles for a loss of three yards at Southwest Minnesota State (10/5/13)…logged four tackles and a pair of pass breakups in the win vs. rival Augustana (10/26/13)…collected a career-best 10 tackles (8 solo) and his first career interception (24 yards) at Upper Iowa (11/2/13)…had four total tackles versus No. 1 Minnesota State (11/9/13)…in the season finale at Wayne State (11/16/13), came off the bench in the second quarter and returned an interceptions 70 yards for his first-ever pick-six that gave USF a 7-0 lead…picked off another pass late in the third quarter and added five solo stops in the win over the Wildcats.

2012 (REDSHIRT FRESHMAN): Appeared in six games, primarily as a member of special teams...did not record any statistics.

2011 (FRESHMAN): Redshirted.

HIGH SCHOOL: Prepped at Wagner Community...lettered in football, basketball and track and field...set the state record for interceptions in a career (22)…two-time football all-state selection...accumulated 106 tackles, caught 40 passes for 708 yards, had 54 carries for 574 yards, and averaged 19 yards per punt and 33.3 yards per kickoff… all-state selection in football as a senior and a two-time all-Little Missouri Valley Conference selection…also a two-time all-conference pick in basketball.

PERSONAL: Has one brother and one sister...major is criminal justice...son of Staycee St. Pierre...has a sister, Chaisi, and brother Noah...volunteers at Boys & Girls Club of Wagner...enjoys singing.
