2016 (JUNIOR) : Named All-NSIC first team as a return specialist for NSIC champions...selected to the third team on the Don Hansen All Super Region 3 squad...named team's "Special Teams Player of the Year"...caught 24 passes for 402 yards with five TDs...averaged 1.8 catches per game and 16.8 yards per reception...averaged 30.9 yards receiving per game...ranked seventh in NCAA DII and first in the NSIC in combined returns with 891 kick or punt return yards...ranked sixth in the NSIC and 42nd nationally in kick returns with 25.5 yards per return...had 23 returns for 587 yards or 45.2 yards per game...recorded 23 punt returns for 304 yards or 13.2 yards per return, a total which led the NSIC and ranked 16th in NCAA DII...rushed seven times for 77 yards with a long of 26 yards vs. Upper Iowa (11/5)...had a season-best five receptions for 43 yards vs. Southwest Minnesota State (10/8)...times recorded  three receptions in a game (Bemidji State, 9/24; Winona State, 10/15; and Upper Iowa, 11/5)...had a season and career-best 108 receiving yards vs. Upper Iowa (11/5)...recorded a career-high 237 all purpose yards vs Upper Iowa (11/12) with season best 26 rushing yards, 108 receiving yards, 39 kick return yards and 64 punt return yards...had a 39-yard TD reception vs. St. Cloud State (9/1)...hauled in 56 yard TD reception against Augustana (10/1) in Key to the City victory...had two TD receptions, including a career-best 74 yard scoring reception (from tight end Clint Sigg) against Upper Iowa (11/5)...also hauled in a 28-yard TD reception in the second round NCAA DII playoff loss to Harding (11/26)...registered a season-high with 182 yards in returns vs. Concordia St. Paul (10/22), including a season-high of six punt returns for 120 yards...in same game vs CSP had a season-best 53-yard punt return...also had a 55-yard kickoff return...six times had a kick return of more than 30 yards...recorded a season-high 96 yards in kickoff returns, including a season-best 62-yard return, against Bemidji State (9/24)...also recorded a 51-yard return vs. Harding (11/26) in the playoffs second round.
 
2015 (SOPHOMORE): played in 12 games… caught six passes for 168 yards for 28.0 yards per catch…had two carries for 17 yards with a long of 11 yards...returned 24 kickoffs for 654 yards and two touchdowns…his two kick return TDs ranked 2^nd in NSIC and 3^rd in Division II… had a return of 99 yards vs. Wayne St. on Oct. 3… also returned 14 punts for 193 yards with a best 42-yard return vs. Upper Iowa on Nov. 14… combined kick return yardage ranked 3^rd in NSIC and 13^th in Division II… had four kick returns for 146 yards, including an 88 yard TD return, vs. Upper Iowa on Nov. 14…named NSIC Special Teams Player of the Week on Oct. 5 after returning kickoff for a school record 99-yard TD and compiling 183 yards in punt and kickoff returns against Wayne State.

2014 (FRESHMAN): played in 10 games for 11-1 nationally ranked Cougars team...caught seven passes for 65 yards with a long of 33 yards...had one punt return for 11 yards...also had three kickoff returns for 41 yards, including a long of 28.

HIGH SCHOOL: Starred for state champion West Lyon High School football  team in 2013, leading squad to 14-0 record...in 2013 state title game, had two catches for 41 yards in a 49-7 win over Brooklyn BGM...West Lyon went 46-7 in his career and also won state title 2010 when Groeneweg was a freshman...as a senior had 62 carries for 475 yards and 12 TDs with 18 receptions for 381 yards and six TDs...also had three interceptions and 21 tackles on defense...also a dynamic return specialist with seven kickoff returns for 178 yards and eight punt returns for 134 yards and a TD...during final three years had 213 carries for 1,325 yards with 17 TDs...during that time had 28 catches for 543 yards and eight TDs...also had 32 returns (punts or kickoffs) for 624 yards and a TD...also participated in basketball, track and baseball.
