2013: Posted a 3-3 record as a starter…completed 68-of-150 passes for 820 yards and six TDS…record 108 carries for 738 yards and 14 TDs on the ground, the most by a Cougar since running back Chevon Walker (Ottawa RedBlacks) had 14 in 2010…averaged 6.8 yards per carry and 105.4 yards per game…completed 13 of 27 passes for 108 yards and one interception in the season opener against Minnesota Duluth…rushed for 240 yards and five touchdowns in his first home start to lead the Cougars to a rousing 45-37 win against Northern State… the win was Sioux Falls’ first over its former South Dakota Intercollegiate Conference rival and new NSIC foe since 1934… no one in a Cougar jersey, regardless of position, had rushed for three touchdowns since Lorenzo Brown ran all over Northwestern College on Halloween night in 2009… became the first Cougar to accumulate more than 200 yards on the ground since former NAIA first team All-American Mike Dvoracek (2005)…was named the USA College Football Rookie of the Week for the record-breaking performance… completed 19-of-29 passes for 95 yards with two picks in the loss at U-Mary, where he also rushed for 83 yards and a 5-yard TD run that opened scoring versus the Marauders…hit Carrington Hanna on a 31-yard bomb in the second quarter of USF’s 52-7 blowout of Minnesota Crookston for his first-career TD pass…finished the game 12-for-23 for 155 yards with two interceptions and one TD…also rushed for 77 yards on 13 attempts with two TDs against the Golden Eagles…led the way for USF’s 55-48 shootout win against Southwest Minnesota State, completing 9-of-21 passes for 168 yards and two TDS…connected with Wes Smith on a 51-yard strike on the sixth play from scrimmage vs SMSU for longest TD pass of his career…also went for 194 rushing yards on a season-high 27 attempts with three TDs…rallied the team from a 48-45 fourth-quarter deficit by leading consecutive scoring drives, including 17-yard game-winning TD run with 44 seconds to play…accounted for five TDs in a narrow 45-40 home loss to Winona State before suffering a season-ending injury…completed 16-of-25 passes for a career-high 200 yards with three TDs and one interception…also rushed 19 times for 157 yards and two TDs against the Warriors…finished rookie campaign ranked sixth in the NSIC (24th nationally) with 14 rushing touchdowns.
HIGH SCHOOL: Prepped at Cherry Creek...lettered four times in football for the Bruins...named to All-Colorado and Centennial all-league teams as a senior...accumulated 1,939 yards (1,441 pass/498 rush) of total offense and 21 TDs (9 pass/12 rush) in 2012-13...earned all-league honorable mention recognition for racking up 1,758 yards of total offense as a junior..also a standout lacrosse player for the Bruins...four-year academic all-state honoree for both football and lacrosse...had a 3.75 GPA.
