Biography

Career: Played 118 games with 54 starts...ranks tied for first all-time in USF's DII era with 118 games (Zach Wessels, 2014-18)...finished career with 425 points (3.4 ppg), 441 rebounds (3.8 rpg), school record 146 blocks (1.7 bpg)... named to Academic All-NSIC squad three times…set a career-high in blocks with five, twice against Augustana on Jan 2, 2016 and Wayne St. on Feb. 12, 2015…recorded five double digit scoring games with a career-high 15 against St. Cloud State on 12/9/16...set a career-high in rebounds with his only career double double of 11 points and 11 rebounds against Young Harris, 11/29/14...had four double digit rebound games…scored in 89 games…had a rebound in 104 games with 45 games of five or more rebounds…recorded a blocked shot in a game 76 times with 41 games of two or more blocks with 13 games with at least three swats and five games of four or more shot blocks...graduated Summa Cum Laude (3.9-4.0 GPA)...also received a "Celebrating Academic Achievement in Business" award at the USF Spirit of Excellence Award ceremony

2017-18: Named Academic All-NSIC…averaged 2.0 ppg (57 points) and 1.6 rebounds (46)…had 17 offensive boards and 29 on the defensive end…totaled 40 fouls and fouled out once…dished five assists…had seven turnovers…registered 13 blocked shots with four steals…had a season-high nine points against St. Cloud State on Dec. 8…recorded a season-best six rebounds against Midland University on Jan. 16….made 12 starts in 28 games, compiling 259 minutes…was 23-of-42 from the field for 54.8 percent and 11-of-14 for 78.6 percent from the free throw line…missed only three-point field goal…scored in 16 games and had a rebound in 18 games…nine times blocked a shot in a game…three times had two or more blocks.

2016-17: Named Academic All-NSIC…had 17 starts in 32 games...played 675 minutes...averaging 5.0 points (160 points), 5.1 rebounds (164), 1.2 blocked shots (37), 11 steals and 32 assists...set a career-best with 15 points against St. Cloud State, 12/9/16...also reached double digits in points against Concordia (Wis.) on 11/19/16 with 13 points, hitting 4-of-6 from the field and 5-of-6 from the foul line while grabbing seven rebounds with two steals...had 11 points and nine rebounds against UPR-Rio Piedras on 11/23/16...had 12 points in the NSIC first round playoff win over Minot State on 2/22/17...has 5-of-7 from the field and both of his free throws while registering three rebounds and a blocked shot...set a career-best with six made field goals in seven attempts against St. Cloud State, 12/9/16...tied a career high with 11 rebounds against Upper Iowa on 12/3/16...made 63-of-123 field goals for 51.2 percent...hit 34-of-44 free throws for 77.3 percent...set a career best with five assists against Emporia State on 11/12/16..scored in 28-of-32 games…had a rebound in all 32 games…17 times had five or more rebounds…blocked a shot in 23-of-32 games…10 times had two or more blocks in a game and three times had three blocks in a game.

2015-16: Named Academic All-NSIC…totaled 115 points (3.8 ppg), 125 rebounds (4.2 rpg), and 56 blocks (1.9 bpg)… reached a season-high 10 points vs. Winona St. on Dec. 5… shot 44-of-80 (55.0%) on the year…reached season-high eight rebounds vs. Augustana on Jan. 2 also recording career high with five blocks… recorded career-high 5 blocks also vs. Wayne St. on Feb. 12… 56 total blocks ranked 32nd nationally in NCAA Division 2, also ranked second in NSIC…1.9 blocks per game ranked 37 nationally and second in NSIC… recorded 14 games of five or more rebounds and had a rebound in all 30 games…had a blocked in 25-of-30 games…recorded 15 games of two or more blocks…recorded four games of three or more blocks… recorded nine games of five or more rebounds and two or more blocks…had four blocks in NSIC playoffs…played in all 30 games…started 10 games…scored in 25 games.

2014-15: Averaged 3.4 (93) points… ranked second on team with 3.9 (106) rebounds per game… knocked down 32-of-72 field goals for 44.4 percent… hit 29-of-44 free throws for 65.9 percent… ranked second in conference with 1.5 blocks per game...tied for team lead with 40 blocks… had 21 assists and 13 steals… scored career-high 11 points and 11 rebounds vs. Young Harris on Nov. 29, 2014… recorded career-best four assists vs. Augustana on Feb. 14, 2015… tallied career-best four blocks twice…scored in 20-of-27 games…had rebound in 24-of-27 games…recorded a blocked shot in 19 games…had two or more blocks in 13 games…registered three or more blocks six times and had a season-high four blocks twice.

2014-15: Redshirted for USF

HIGH SCHOOL: Prepped at Austin...averaged 11.3 points, 7 rebounds, 2.4 steals, 1.8 assists as a four-year letterwinner for the Packers…led Austin to a 20-5 regular season record and their first Big Nine Conference title in 13 years as a junior…three-time Big 9 all-conference selection…Minnesota All-Star Game participant...member of the 2013 Class AAA Minnesota State All-Tournament team...hammered home the game-deciding dunk in the final seconds of the 2012 sectional finals game, which clinched the Packers' first state tournament berth in nearly three decades…two-year team captain...honor-roll student and member of the National Honor Society and Link Crew.
