2015-16: became USF’s first player ever named to the All-NSIC first team…scored program D2-best 525 points is 11th on USF all-time season points chart…at 17.5 ppg ranked 10th in the NSIC…also accumulated 114 rebounds (3.8 rpg) and dished 88 assists (2.9 apg)….earned NSIC Player of the Week after scoring 67 points during a two-game stretch on the road…scored a career high 39 points, including a career-best 16-of-16 free throws, in a 85-79 victory over Upper Iowa on Dec. 4, 2015 and then had 28 in a loss at Winona State, 80-69…against Upper Iowa, finished 10-of-15 from the field, including 3-of-7 from the three… the 39 points against Upper Iowa was the most points by a Cougars’ player since Stacy Kooistra had 41 against Colorado Christian in the 1992-93 season…also scored 35 points,7-14 from three point range, at Minnesota State on Feb. 19…seven threes against MSU tied his career high…also tied career high with seven three’s against Minnesota-Duluth on Jan. 29…finished season by hitting 20 points or more in seven of final 10 games…on the season made 179-of-371 field goals for 48.2%...converted 72-of-182 three point shots for 39.6%…averaged 2.4 three point field goals per game, which ranked fourth in the NSIC…made a career-high 13 field goals vs. Minnesota St. Mankato on Feb. 19. Recorded 945 minutes (31. 5 mpg) which ranked 6th in NSIC. 2014-15: Averaged 15.1 (437) points and 3.7 (107) rebounds…made 68 three-pointers, hitting 38.2 percent from distance, which ranked first on the team… ranked fourth in NSIC with 2.4 three pointers per game… hit 158-of- 341 field goals for 46.3 percent… made 53-of-65 free throws for 81.5 percent… had 45 assists, 23 steals, and 79 fouls… scored a career-high 30 points vs. Mount Marty on Dec. 16, 2014... recorded 22 double figure scoring games... had five games with 20 points or more vs. Missouri Southern St. on Nov. 16 (23), vs. Mount Marty on Dec. 16 (30), vs. Minnesota St. Mankato on Jan. 24 (23), vs. Minnesota Duluth on Jan. 30 (20), and vs. Concordia St. Paul on Feb. 21 (26)… two times hit five or more three pointers in a game… had a career best 6-of-6 free throws vs. University of Central Missouri on Nov. 15, 2014...grabbed a career-high 9 rebounds vs. Dakota State on Nov. 24, 2014… four times recorded three assists in a game… had career-best five steals vs. Northern State on Jan. 17, 2015.
2013-14: Averaged 8.6 points (232 points) and 2.6 rebounds (69 rebounds)...knocked down 42-of-103 three point field goals for 40.8 percent...42 threes and 40,8 percent on treys ranked second on team...hit 85-of-187 field goals for 45.5 percent...made 20-of-24 free throws for 83.3 percent...had 28 assists, 22 steals, three blocks, and 52 fouls...scored a career-high 29 points against Concordia St. Paul on Feb. 7, 2014...in that game hit a career best 10-of-11 field goals (90.9 percent), including a career-best 7-of-7 from three point range...recorded eight double figure scoring games...had two games with 20 points or more...also scored 21 points vs. Augustana on Dec. 7, 2013 when he connected on 8-of-13 field goals, including 5-of-7 from three-point range...three times hit five or more three pointers in a game...had a career-best 4-of-4 free throws against Winona State on Jan. 18, 2014...secured career-high seven rebounds against Northern State on Jan. 4, 2014...four times recorded three assists in a game...had career-best four steals vs South Dakota School of Mines on Nov. 16, 2013...fouled out once vs. CU, St. Paul on Feb. 7, 2014.
HIGH SCHOOL: Prepped at Roseville Area...four-year basketball letterwinner for the Raiders...tabbed AP all-state,Star Tribune all-metro and St. Paul Pioneer Press All-East metro as a senior…led team to 25-5 record and third-consecutive conference crown in 2012-13…set a school record with 45 points against Osseo, and 27 points the following night in the AAAA sectional semifinal, tallying 15 three-point makes during the two game stretch…program’s all-time leading scorer with 1,253 career-points…also holds RAHS records for single-season free throw percentage (.893), 3-point field goals made in a game (8), single-season 3-point field goals made (84) and career 3-point field goals made (230)…Minnesota Basketball Coaches all-star selection…all-star game 3-point contest winner…academic all-state selection.
PERSONAL: Son of Monte and Mary Johnson...has two siblings, Merrick and Katey...favorite athlete is Dwayne Wade...likes to play video games...exercise science major...only person in his family that has played a college sport.
