2018 -- Key member of defense that ranked 21st in DII and third in the NSIC in scoring defense (19.0 ppg), 32nd in DII and sixth in the NSIC in rushing defense (120.2 ypg), 54th in DII and four in the NSIC in total defense (339.8 ypg)...helped lead USF to a 7-4 record...had 27 tackles with 22 solo stops, TFL (-2 yards), forced fumble and three interceptions for 10 yards in returns...recorded four pass breakups and seven total passes defended..recorded tackles in nine games in 10 played...six times recorded at least three tackles in a game...had a career-best five tackles while tying a career best four solo stops against Upper Iowa on 10-27-18...recorded three solo tackles and an interception in the 51-13 "Key to the City" win over Augustana on 9-22-18...had a tackle and interception for 10 yard return in the win over Minot State on 9-29-18...against No. 1 Minnesota State had two solos and four tackles plus an interception...had four solo stops and a pass breakup against St. Cloud State on 10-13-18...had four tackles and a tackle for loss against Bemidji State on 10-6-18.

2017 - Led the Saddleback Gauchos to an 8-3 record...recorded 48 tackles with 32 solo stops...also had a TFL, eight pass breakups and a blocked kick in 10 games at Saddleback College.

2016 - As freshman at Saddleback College, had 28 tackles and 4.5 tackles-for-loss in seven games for the Gauchos.

HIGH SCHOOL - Lettered in football and volleyball at Redlands East Valley High School before graduating in 2016...part of the 2014 Division 2 California state championship team and an honor roll student...played safety, cornerback and returned punts for the Wildcats...was named to the All-CIF and All-Citrus Belt League first team in 2014 and 2015...named to Honor Roll four straight years.

PERSONAL - Son of Sandy and Dale Nieman... has two siblings, Skyler and Trevor...spends time volunteering to assist elderly people with needs...business administration major.
