CAREER - In 35 games has registered 35 starts with 95 career tackles of which 55 are solo stops... recorded 19.0 tackles for loss with eight sacks... recorded three career pass breakups and three passes defended... forced two fumbles... nine times has had four or more tackles in a game from his defensive end position... led USF to 24-11 record in three seasons with two playoff berths (2017, 2019)... twice in three years part of a defense that ranked among top five nationally in total defense.
2020 -- Named to the Academic All-NSIC Team... no season due to CoVID-19 pandemic.
2019 - Part of USF defense to rank fourth in DII with a 260.7 yards per game allowed and 14th in scoring defense at 17.3 points allowed per game... Coo also in national ranks fifth in passing efficiency defense at 94.15... USF was also 12th in passing yards allowed at 161.8 yards per game and finished 16th against the rush (98.8 yards, 2.98 yards per carry) in DII... registered 12 starts with 40 tackles with 24 solo stops... registered 8.0 tackles for loss for minus 62 yards... had four sacks for -35 yards in losses... forced two fumbles and recovered a fumble against Northern State in a 35-13 road win in Aberdeen on Oct. 26... four times recorded four or more tackles with two games of eight tackles or more..set a career-mark with seven solo tackles (seven total tackles) in a 35-13 road win over Northern State... had eight tackles, including a season-high five solo stops, in a win at Upper Iowa on Nov. 2... registered eight tackles in the 24-21 playoff loss to Colorado Mines on Nov. 23... had 1.5 sacks against Southwest Minnesota State on Sept. 21... also had sacks against Concordia St. Paul, Winona State and U-Mary.
2018 -- Key member of defense that ranked 21st in DII and third in the NSIC in scoring defense (19.0 ppg), 32nd in DII and sixth in the NSIC in rushing defense (120.2 ypg), 54th in DII and four in the NSIC in total defense (339.8 ypg)... helped lead USF to a 7-4 record... had 38 tackles with 22 solo stops, with the second most TFLs on the team with 5.0 for 28 yards in loss… had three quarterback sacks for 21 yards in losses… recorded three pass breakups, three passes defended, three quarterback hurries with a fumble recovery… recorded tackles in 10-of-11 games…had a career-best nine tackles and career-high six solo stops against Bemidji State on 10-6-18… also made a career-high three tackles for loss and a forced fumble against BSU… five times had at least four tackles in a game…had six tackles, four solo stops, TFL, sack against SMSU on 9-15-18… registered five tackles with three solos and a sack and TFL against MSU Moorhead om 10-20-18… also had a sack against Upper Iowa… registered pass breakups against Augustana on 9-22-18, Minot State on 9-29-18 and BSU on 10-6-18.
2017: Played in 12 games for the 9-3 USF Football Team, which was ranked No. 20 and reached the postseason for a fourth straight year and third straight NCAA DII appearance... key member of defense as USF fielded one of the nation's best defenses in 2017, ranking second in DII in total defense (244.3 yards per game), second in scoring defense (12.5 ppg), third nationally in rushing yards per game (67.8 yards per game), seventh in first down defense (158) and ninth in sacks (3.33 per game, 40 total)... accumulated 17 tackles, including nine solo stops... had three tackles for loss totaling -18 yards in losses and 1.5 sacks for losses of minus nine yards... also recorded a pass breakup... recorded tackles in 10-of-12 games with two or more tackles five times... recorded first solo tackle of career in 26-7 road win over No. 8 Minnesota Duluth on Aug. 31 as USF ended UMD's 22-game home winning streak... registered two tackles, including solo stop in win over Northern State on Sept. 9... had three tackles, including two solo stops and tackle for loss in road win over U-Mary on Sept. 16... recorded three tackles, tackle for loss, two solo stops, and pass breakup in victory at SMSU on Sept. 30... registered two tackles and career-best 1.5 tackles for loss at Concordia St. Paul on Oct. 21... also had two tackles, including solo stop, as USF defeated Augustana in the "Key to the City" matchup on Oct. 28 at Bob Young Field... also had a solo tackle against No. 5 Midwestern State on Nov. 18 in the NCAA DII playoffs.

HIGH SCHOOL: Starred at Sioux Falls Washington for head coach Chad Stadem…played key role as SF Washington went 11-1 and defeated O’Gorman (27-24) in State 11AAA Championship in 2015…one of four Warriors (Jack Schelhaas, Michael Enalls, and Ty Smith) to sign at USF…as linebacker and defensive end for WHS, recorded 78 tackles, 16.5 TFLs, 4.5 sacks, had three forced fumbles and fumble recovery…named All-Metro, all-city, all-conference and all state…made Honor Roll at WHS all four years
PERSONAL: Been involved in service including serving at the Banquet, volunteering at youth Football camps and coaching youth Basketball…enrolled in Master of Business Administration program at USF…son of Mike and Mistie Wehrkamp…has a brother Michael and sisters Kristie, Kari and Steph.
