- Started as a freshman and junior at Luverne High School (he was sidelined his sophomore year with an injury)
- Helped lead the Cardinals to a runner-up finish in both the section finals and South Conference standings -- as well as a 24-3 overall record in 2018
- Named All-Big South Conference in 2019 in baseball and All-Big South in wrestling in 2016
- Participated in the Minnesota/Wisconsin Challenge this past summer in Minnetonka, MN
- Three-year letterman for both the football (wide receiver and linebacker) and wrestling Cardinals.
