Career
A dynamic catcher and offensive catalyst for the Cougars, Dominic Vogel has emerged as one of Sioux Falls’ most consistent contributors at the plate. Across two seasons, Vogel has started all 108 games he has appeared in, compiling a .323 career batting average with 131 hits, 97 runs scored, 58 RBI, 18 doubles, five home runs, and 28 stolen bases. A standout behind the plate and on the bases, Vogel earned NSIC All-Conference honors during his Cougar career.
2026 (Senior)
Vogel started all 48 games for the Cougars, batting .343 with 60 hits, seven doubles, three home runs, 25 RBI, and 40 runs scored. He added 14 stolen bases while posting a stellar .463 on-base percentage, continuing his role as one of the team’s top offensive producers. His top performances included a 4-for-5 outing with two doubles against Concordia-St. Paul, a four-RBI game at Northern State, and a three-steal performance against the Wolves. Defensively, Vogel posted a .987 fielding percentage with 138 putouts. He earned NSIC All-Conference honors following the season.
2025 (Junior)
Started all 61 games for Sioux Falls, batting .305 with 72 hits, 11 doubles, one triple, two home runs, 33 RBI, and 59 runs scored. He also swiped 14 stolen bases while serving as a steady everyday presence in the lineup.
High School
Vogel competed in both baseball and hockey for the Farmington Tigers. He earned SSC All-Conference honors in hockey during the 2021-22 season and was part of Farmington’s 4A State Championship baseball team in 2021, followed by a runner-up finish in 2022. In the classroom, he maintained B Honor Roll status throughout high school.
