Career
One of the most accomplished hitters in recent Cougar baseball history, Mitch Iliff has developed into a premier offensive force for Sioux Falls. Across three collegiate seasons, Iliff has appeared in 135 games with 125 starts, compiling a .357 career batting average with 160 hits, 122 runs scored, 120 RBI, 35 doubles, three triples, 29 home runs, and 23 stolen bases. A dominant presence in the middle of the lineup, he has earned multiple conference honors while establishing himself as one of the NSIC’s top offensive threats.
2026 (Junior)
Iliff delivered a monster junior campaign, starting all 52 games for the Cougars while batting .349 with 60 hits, 10 doubles, two triples, 17 home runs, 54 RBI, and 50 runs scored. He posted a .727 slugging percentage and .506 on-base percentage while adding 11 stolen bases. His season included a four-hit performance against Minnesota Duluth, a three-home run explosion against Southwest Minnesota State, and a six-RBI outing against Concordia-St. Paul. Defensively, he remained a steady presence at first base with a .991 fielding percentage across 334 total chances. For his efforts, Iliff earned NSIC All-Conference honors, was named an NSIC Player of the Week twice, and collected Academic Achievement, NSIC Team of Excellence, and NSIC All-Academic honors.
2025 (Sophomore)
Earned NSIC Top Performer honors while starting 56 of 57 games for Sioux Falls. Batted .371 with 79 hits, including 17 doubles, one triple, and 11 home runs, while driving in 50 runs and scoring 52 times. Added eight stolen bases while emerging as one of the conference’s top hitters.
2024 (Freshman)
Made an immediate impact in his first collegiate season, starting 18 of 27 games while batting .313 with 21 hits, eight doubles, one home run, 16 RBI, and 21 runs scored. Added four stolen bases.
High School
Iliff competed in baseball during his prep career, earning Metro East Conference All-Conference Honorable Mention recognition. He was also named the 2021 Minnesota Blizzard Johnny Price Team MVP. As a senior, he hit .344 with five doubles, one triple, two home runs, 27 RBI, and a .943 OPS while competing with Minnesota Blizzard Elite.

Son of Jim and Kerry Iliff. Has one sister, Mackenzie.
