Dakota State University
Tietz appeared in 31 games during his time at Dakota State and recorded 15 stolen bases.

High School
Tietz graduated from Windom High School in Windom, Minnesota, where he competed in baseball, football, basketball and track. He earned All-State honors in baseball and was selected to the Minnesota State High School Baseball Coaches Association All-Star Game. Academically, Tietz was a member of the National Honor Society and earned Academic All-State recognition.

Personal
Tietz is the son of Nicole and Bobby Blom and has one sibling, Hayden. He plans to major in Business Administration at USF and aspires to become a property investor. Outside of baseball, he enjoys hunting, fishing and golfing.
