Career

A right-handed pitcher for the Cougars, Reid Barnard has appeared in 22 career games over three collegiate seasons, providing valuable depth out of the bullpen. Through 22.2 career innings, he has recorded 20 strikeouts while continuing to develop as a dependable relief option for Sioux Falls.

2026 (Junior)

Barnard made one appearance during the season, tossing a scoreless inning against Minnesota State while striking out two batters. He did not allow a hit in the outing. Off the field, he earned NSIC Academic Achievement honors and was recognized as an NSIC Team of Excellence recipient.

2025 (Sophomore)

Appeared in 11 games out of the bullpen, logging 12.0 innings with nine strikeouts while posting a 6.00 ERA.

2024 (Freshman)

Made 10 appearances in his collegiate debut season, recording nine strikeouts across 9.2 innings of relief work.

High School

Barnard was a standout pitcher during his prep career, compiling a 2-0 record with a 2.77 ERA and one save over 17.2 innings. He struck out 22 batters while limiting opponents to a .257 batting average. He also competed for the Pitch2Pitch Millers travel program.

Barnard is the son of Jessica and Dan Barnard and has one brother, Caiden.
