Made 10 appearances in his first collegiate season, recording nine strikeouts across 9.2 innings.

High School
Barnard competed in baseball during his prep career, posting a 2.77 ERA with a 2-0 record and one save across 17.2 innings. He struck out 22 batters while holding opponents to a .257 batting average and competed with the Pitch2Pitch Millers travel program.
