CAREER: In 21 games, has accumulated 29 tackles with 18 solo stops...has 1.5 tackles for loss...recorded three pass breakups...has been named Academic All-NSIC twice in football and indoor track and field and three times in outdoor track and field (seven total).

2016 (REDSHIRT JUNIOR): Named the 2016 NSIC Elite 18 Award recipient (highest cumulative GPA on NSIC championship team)...presented the award by NSIC Commissioner Erin Lind during the Wayne State game at Bob Young Field... key player for team that ranked second in the NSIC and 19th nationally in scoring defense (18.6 ppg), second in the league and 39th nationally in rushing defense (111.8 ypg), 12th nationally and second in the NSIC in interceptions and second in total defense (348.1 ypg), 16th nationally and fourth in the NSIC in team sacks (3.23 per game), while ranking 25th in DII in turnovers gained (27).. In 10 games for NSIC champs, accumulated 10 tackles with 7 solo stops...had a tackl for loss and recorded three pass breakups...tied a career-best with five tackles, including career high three solo stops while registering a tackle for loss...named Academic All-NSIC. 

2015 (REDSHIRT SOPHOMORE): appeared in 10 games… totaled 19 tackles… 11 solo and eight assisted… recorded a season high five tackles vs. Upper Iowa on Nov. 14… recorded three or more tackles on three occasions… named to the NSIC All-Academic Team

2014 (REDSHIRT FRESHMAN): played on special teams.

2013: Redshirted.

HIGH SCHOOL: Prepped at Hilbert, Wisc...earned letters in track and field (4), basketball (3) and football (3)...versatile athlete, garnering all-region plaudits at DB (2011) and LB (2012) positions...two-time Olympian Packerland Small all-conference performer... named OPS Defensive Player of the Year following senior season...2012 runner-up in the triple jump at the state championships...holds Wolves' records in the triple jump, 4x200m and 4x100m relays...two-year captain for football and basketball...also captain of Hilbert track and field team...member of NHS, student council and the Anatomy Club 

PERSONAL: Son of Michelle and Alan Schaffer...born May 18, 1995...has two sisters, Alaina and Avery...career goal to become a nurse anesthetist...participates in community outreach programs through local church...volunteer coach at youth football and basketball camps...enjoys hunting and fishing...nursing major.
