Biography

2024 (Redshirt Sophomore)

Koupal played in six games up front for the Cougars.

2022–2023  (South Dakota)

Koupal spent two seasons at USD, where he redshirted in 2022 and competed on the scout team in 2023. He was also named to the Missouri Valley Football Conference Honor Roll both years.

High School

At Brandon Valley, Koupal competed in football, track, and powerlifting for the Lynx. He helped lead his team to a South Dakota 11AAA state title in 2020 and a runner-up finish in 2021. He earned Metro All-Conference and All-ESD honors and was active in basketball, powerlifting, and even won a ping pong club championship. He was also a member of the National Honor Society.

Personal

He is the son of Karen and Jon Koupal and has two siblings, Kelsey and Hannah. His father, Jon, played football at Dakota State.
