High School

Kopp graduated from Plum City High School in Maiden Rock, Wisconsin, where he competed in football and track and field for the Wolves. He earned six All-Conference selections (three First Team, two Second Team, one Honorable Mention), was nominated for the All-Star Game, and was ranked the No. 62 player in Wisconsin by Prep Redzone. He also set three school weightlifting records. Academically, he was a National Honor Society member and earned Academic All-State recognition.

Kopp is the son of Lonnie Kopp and has one sibling, Payton (21).
