High School

Benes graduated from Boone Central High School in Albion, Nebraska, where he competed in football, basketball, and track for the Cardinals. He was a National Honor Society member. Athletically, he was a two-time All-State running back and earned All-District honors as a defensive back.

Personal

Benes is the son of Mark and Aliscia Benes and has five siblings: Braden (22), Brant (20), Brielle (15), Brinklee (13), and Brexton (3).
