High School

Lawson graduated from Liberty High School in Kansas City, Missouri, where he competed in football and wrestling for the Blue Jays. He earned multiple academic honors, including three academic letters and Academic All-State recognition. On the field, he contributed to a conference championship team and earned First Team All-Conference, Second Team All-District, and Honorable Mention All-Conference honors.

Lawson is the son of Greg and Katie Lawson and has two siblings, Cam (21) and Matt (23).
