Biography

 

2013 (JUNIOR): Junior college transfer that saw action in all eleven games and made six starts, including the last five games of the season…ranked fourth on the team with 68 combined tackles…his 46 solo stops ranked third on the squad and 18th in the NSIC…credited with a career-high 12 tackles, including one for a loss of two yards, and recovered a fumble in the opener at nationally-ranked UMD…had six tackles and deflected a pass in USF’s shoot-out win against Northern State…tallied his second-career double digit tackle effort at U-Mary, finishing with 10 stops…had two tackles in limited action versus Crookston…posted five tackles and two pass breakups at SMSU…had six tackles and his second fumble recovery versus Winona State…credited with four stops in the win at Concordia-St. Paul…had four tackles and also intercepted the final pass of the game in USF’s 27-10 win against rival Augustana…finished with seven tackles—one for a loss of three yards—at Upper Iowa…had four tackles versus No. 1 Minnesota State…ended the season with eight stops and a pass breakup at Wayne State.

2011-2012 (FRESHMAN & SOPHOMORE): Played at the City College of San Francisco where he earned First Team All-Conference, First Team All-League, and First Team All-State honors while playing defensive back.

HIGH SCHOOL: Prepped at Nevada Union High in Grass Valley, Calif. where he played football, baseball, and also wrestled…played quarterback for the Miners, earning League Offensive MVP honors and was also named First Team All-League...was drafted by the Houston Astros in the 29th round (873rd overall) of the 2010 MLB Amateur Draft. 

PERSONAL: Son of Foxx and Margaret Jantz…has two siblings, Truk (26) and Steele (25)...sports management major…Jantz and his wife Calynn have a daughter named Skoutt...brother, Steele, played quarterback for the Iowa State Cyclones.
