Career
Entering his senior year, Dean has played in 30 collegiate games between Minnesota State and USF. He has totaled over 4,800 passing yards with 47 passing touchdowns and a completion percentage of 62.3%. On the ground, he has rushed for over 1,500 yards and 16 touchdowns. Dean has been a consistent dual-threat leader, earning multiple academic and athletic honors throughout his college career.
2024 (Junior)
Named to the NSIC All-Academic Team and earned NSIC Second Team All-Conference honors. Played in 11 games, rushing 128 times for 671 yards with a long run of 56 yards and 8 rushing touchdowns. Completed 166-of-258 passes for 2,194 yards with a long throw of 66 yards (64% completion rate) and 23 passing touchdowns.
2023 (Sophomore)
Three-time USF Athlete of the Week. Played in 11 games, recorded 4 punts for 120 yards (long of 38). Rushed 133 times for 740 yards with a long of 59 yards and 6 rushing touchdowns. Passed for 2,059 yards, completing 187-of-290 attempts with 18 touchdowns (64% completion).
2022 (Minnesota State)
Played in eight of Minnesota State’s 13 games as a true freshman, including two starts. Completed 45 passes for 630 yards and rushed for 106 yards with two touchdowns. Recorded a season-high 63 rushing yards vs. Concordia-St. Paul.
High School
A three-sport athlete at Lakeville South High School, competing in football, hockey, and Olympic weightlifting. Four-year letterwinner and two-year starter at quarterback. Helped lead the football team to conference championships during his sophomore, junior, and senior seasons. As a starting quarterback, guided his team to state championships in both his junior and senior years. Earned two All-District honors. Holds the program record for most rushing yards by a quarterback in a season and ranks second in rushing touchdowns by a quarterback in program history. Also helped his lifting team win a state championship as a senior and scored two touchdowns in the state championship game.
