Redshirted his first collegiate season at USF.

High School

A two-sport athlete at Viborg-Hurley High School, Chance competed in football and track for the Cougars. He was a three-time Cornbelt All-Conference selection at both defensive back and linebacker and was named VHHS Offensive Player of the Year. As a team captain, he recorded 171 tackles, seven sacks, 13 tackles for loss, three interceptions, and 12 pass break-ups. Offensively, he added 889 rushing yards, 302 receiving yards, 23 total touchdowns, and 114 passing yards.

Chance is the son of Katie Schoepf and Rich Schoellerman and has two siblings, Gage and Olivia.
