Andre McCall

Andre McCall enters his fourth season with the University of Sioux Falls football program in 2026 as the defensive line coach and social media coordinator.

During the 2025 season, McCall's defensive front played a key role in helping the Cougars to a 7-4 overall record and a 6-4 mark in NSIC play. The defensive line helped anchor a unit that recorded 14 sacks and forced 13 fumbles while contributing to seven interceptions and holding opponents to 26.2 points per game. The Cougars also tightened defensively in critical situations, limiting opponents to 24 touchdowns on 34 red-zone opportunities and consistently creating pressure that disrupted opposing offenses.

Under McCall's guidance, defensive lineman Mouhamed Diawara earned Second Team All-NSIC honors after recording 19 tackles, 6.5 tackles for loss and a team-best 4.5 sacks. Dawson Raabe also enjoyed a productive season, totaling 14 tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss and 2.0 sacks in seven games. McCall's emphasis on physicality, technique and relentless effort has helped establish the Cougar defensive line as one of the toughest and most disciplined position groups in the conference.

In 2024, McCall helped guide the Cougars to an 8-3 record and a tie for second place in the NSIC standings. The season was highlighted by 13 All-NSIC selections, 15 NSIC All-Academic Team honorees and 20 NSIC All-Academic Team of Excellence recipients.

Before arriving at USF, McCall spent one season at Eastern New Mexico University as the defensive line coach and travel and social media coordinator. During his time with the Greyhounds, he helped develop one of the top red-zone defenses in the Lone Star Conference and continued to build a reputation for developing disciplined and physical defensive fronts.

Prior to Eastern New Mexico, McCall spent four seasons at Wayne State College in a variety of roles. He began as a graduate assistant working with the running backs before transitioning into positions as the Wildcats' social media and travel coordinator and defensive line coach. His diverse experiences across coaching, operations and communications have made him a valuable asset to every program he has served.

McCall began his coaching career at Webster County High School in Dixon, Kentucky, where he served as the offensive and defensive coordinator, linebackers coach, offensive line coach and strength and conditioning coordinator.

A former student-athlete at Kentucky State University, McCall earned his bachelor's degree in physical education while competing for the Thorobred football program. He appeared in 25 career games and made 15 starts at center, experiences that helped shape his player-first coaching philosophy and passion for developing student-athletes both on and off the field.
