Schlichte joins The Coo for his first season following a highly successful tenure at Morningside University, where he helped guide one of the most explosive offenses in NAIA football. As Offensive Coordinator and Offensive Line Coach, Schlichte's units averaged over 430 yards and 36 points per game in 2024 and 2025.

During his time with Morningside, Schlichte helped capture two NAIA National Championships and five GPAC Championships, developing six All-American Linemen and protecting back-to-back NAIA Player of the Year quarterbacks. His offensive lines also paved the way for five 1,000-yard rushers and led the country with just 21 sacks allowed in four seasons.

A former tight end at Minnesota Duluth and native of Minnesota, Schlichte also brings coaching experience from the University of Dubuque and a strong recruiting background across the Midwest and beyond.
