Keevan Lucas enters his second season as the wide receivers coach for the University of Sioux Falls in 2026 after making an immediate impact on the Cougar offense during his first year on staff.

Under Lucas' guidance in 2025, the USF passing attack emerged as one of the most productive in the NSIC. The Cougars threw for 2,877 yards and 24 touchdowns while averaging 261.6 passing yards and 30.6 points per game. USF also generated 132 passing first downs and averaged an impressive 8.9 yards per pass attempt, as Lucas' receiving corps became the focal point of one of the conference's most explosive offenses.

Lucas also played a key role in the development of wide receiver Hank Brown III, who emerged as one of the premier pass catchers in the conference. Brown earned First Team All-NSIC and Second Team D2CCA All-Super Region honors after leading the Cougars with 83 receptions for 979 yards and two touchdowns. He averaged 89.0 receiving yards per game and added a rushing touchdown and 191 kickoff return yards. Brown's breakout season ranked among the best receiving campaigns in program history and highlighted Lucas' ability to develop elite playmakers.

Lucas brought a wealth of playing experience to Sioux Falls when he joined the program ahead of the 2025 season. A former NFL wide receiver and standout at the University of Tulsa, he combines elite-level experience with a passion for player development and mentorship.

Throughout his playing career, Lucas amassed 472 receptions, 5,675 receiving yards and 55 total touchdowns while adding 75 carries for 520 rushing yards. At Abilene High School, he totaled 174 receptions for 1,825 yards and 14 touchdowns, earning two First Team All-District selections, Honorable Mention All-America honors and eventual induction into his high school's Hall of Fame.

At Tulsa, Lucas became one of the most decorated wide receivers in program history. He totaled 248 receptions for 3,250 receiving yards and 33 touchdowns while adding 40 rushing attempts for 300 yards. Lucas finished his collegiate career as Tulsa's all-time leader in receiving touchdowns, second in career receptions and third in receiving yards. He earned both First Team and Second Team All-American Athletic Conference honors, was a semifinalist for the Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award, earned recognition on the Biletnikoff Award watch list and participated in the NFL Combine. He was also a member of Tulsa's 2016 Miami Beach Bowl championship team and received the Dan Bitson Courage Award.

Following his collegiate career, Lucas signed with the Philadelphia Eagles in 2017 and later continued his professional career in Germany with the Potsdam Royals, where he recorded 50 receptions for 600 yards and four touchdowns. His experiences playing professionally and internationally broadened his perspective on leadership, culture and personal growth, shaping his approach to coaching and mentoring student-athletes.

After his playing career, Lucas founded 2Mile Movement, an organization dedicated to training and mentoring athletes of all ages. Through the program, he has worked extensively with youth and adults, providing performance training and life mentorship centered on discipline, accountability and resilience.

A native of Abilene, Texas, Lucas was also a standout track athlete, tying his high school's 200-meter record with a time of 21.5 seconds. He graduated early and enrolled at Tulsa in January 2013, beginning a football journey that has taken him from collegiate stardom and professional football to developing the next generation of Cougar receivers.
