Lucas Lueders

Lucas Lueders enters his third season with the University of Sioux Falls Football team as an Assistant Head Coach and Offensive Coordinator.

In the 2024 season Cougar Football finished the season 8-3 and t-2nd in conference standings. They also had 13 student-athletes named to the NSIC All-Conference teams, 15 athletes awarded All-Academic team and 20 athletes awarded All-Academic team of Excellence.

Prior to USF, Lueders served as offensive coordinator and wide receivers coach for three years at the University of Central Missouri. In 2021, he helped orchestrate the leading passing offense of the MIAA. Before Central Missouri, Lueders spent 9 seasons at Morningside College as their offensive coordinator, recruiting coordinator and wide receivers coach. He helped produce one of the most high-volume offensive attacks in all of NAIA football along with two National Championships and two undefeated seasons. Over those 9 seasons, Lueders also coached 3 NAIA Players of the Year, and helped send on player, Brandon Wegher, to the NFL to play with the Carolina Panthers.

Before Morningside, Lueders spent two years at St. Ambrose University as an offensive and defensive graduate assistant while earning his master's in organizational leadership. Prior to St. Ambrose, Lueders spent one season at Sterling College where he served as a student assistant coach for the linebackers.

In 2008, he received his bachelors in exercise science from Sterling College.

Lueders joins the Cougar Family with his wife Megan and their two sons, Greysen and Davis.
