CAREER: Has recorded five career tackles, all solo stops...among those tackles are three sacks.

2016 (REDSHIRT JUNIOR): Named "Scout Team Defensive Player of the Year"...Played in four games for NSIC champions... contributor on defense that ranked second in the NSIC and 19th nationally in scoring defense (18.6 ppg), second in the league and 39th nationally in rushing defense (111.8 ypg), 12th nationally and second in the NSIC in interceptions and second in total defense (348.1 ypg), 16th nationally and fourth in the NSIC in team sacks (3.23 per game), while ranking 25th in DII in turnovers gained (27).. had career high two sacks and two tackles in win over Wayne State (11/12)...played in 34-21 NCAA DII playoff win over Azusa Pacific (11/19)...had four tackles on the season with all four being solo stops...also had a pass breakup...named to Academic All-NSIC Team.

2015 (REDSHIRT SOPHOMORE): appeared in one game… recorded a solo tackle vs. Mary of Sep. 5… also forced a fumble… recorded a sack vs. Mary on Sep. 5

2014 (REDSHIRT FRESHMAN): Member of 11-1 and #16/#18 nationally ranked USF Football Team which won the Mineral Water Bowl, 42-10, over Central Oklahoma.

2013 (FRESHMAN): Redshirted.

HIGH SCHOOL: Prepped at Lakewood...three-year football letterwinner for the Tigers...compiled 196 tackles, two interceptions and recovered two fumbles to earn all-state and first team all-Colorado honors...also a Jeffco League first team all-conference pick.

PERSONAL: Son of Bridget and Steve Kovin...born Feb. 8, 1995...has one brother, Carl and one sister, Brooke...volunteer coach for unified basketball.
