Biography

CAREER: Accumulated  278 carries for 1,980 yards and 27 TDs in his career - 12 games....averaging 7.12 yards per carry.... has 11 games of 100 yards or more with a career-high of 320 on Oct. 20, 2018 vs MSU Moorhead,...has three games of 200 yards or more...ranks as single game (19-320-5 vs MSU Moorhead, 10-20-18)) and single season (269-1,957-26 TDs) rushing leader at USF...Named the NSIC Offensive Player of the Year, the D2 CCA Super Region 4 Offensive Player of the Year and the Don Hansen Super Region Four Offensive Player of the Year while being a Harlon Hill Award finalist (5th in votes) in 2018...named first team All-NSIC in 2018...was selected to the Don Hansen, D2Football.com, AFCA Associated Press and D2 Conference Commissioner's Association All-American teams...named USF Male Athlete of the Year in 2018...named semifinalist for the National Football Foundation's Campbell Award.

2019: Played in one games against Winona State...had nine carries for 23 yards and a TD in a 34-14 win...did not play rest of season due to injury....received medical redshirt.

2018 -  Transferred to Sioux Falls...named one of 32 NSIC Honor Student-Athletes of the Year…selected USF Athletics Men’s Athlete of the Year… was named the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Player of the Year, the D2 CCA Super Region 4 Offensive Player of the Year and Don Hansen Super Region Four Offensive Player of the Year, and a Harlon Hill Award finalist during the 2018 season…selected to five All-American Teams (Don Hansen, D2Football.com, AFCA, Associated Press and D2 Conference Commissioner's Association) as he led the nation in rushing average per game (177.9) and scoring average (14.2 ppg) while leading USF to a 7-4 record and a 25th straight winning season…led NCAA DII in three rushing or scoring categories…first student-athlete at USF to advance into the Harlon Hill finalist group…set a school record of 11 games of 100 yards or more rushing while accumulating a regular season NCAA-high and USF single season mark of 1,957 yards (second overall) on 269 carries with an NCAA DII-high 26 TDs. Set eight school records this year…owned the top per game average of 177.9 yards per carry in DII, which is also a USF school record…of DII players with 200 carries or more, had the top per rush average of 7.41… 1,957 yards rushing broke Max Mickey's school record of 1,764 of 2016… 26 touchdowns is the most in a single season in USF's DII history and second overall (David Ruter, 29 TDs, 1988)…had 200 yards rushing and three touchdowns in the first game he played at USF, which was a 27-24 win over Concordia-St. Paul in the home opener…followed up that opening game performance with 29 carries  for 172 yards and a TD on the road against Winona State…in week three against SMSU (9-15-18), had 19 carries for 193 yards and two TDs….in a 51-13 “Key to the City” win, rushed for 140 yards on 23 carries with four TDs including a long of 33 yards…on 9-29-18, rushed for 205 yards on 15 carries with two TDs in playing just one half against Minot State at Bob Young Field…recorded 27 carries for 126 yards with three TDs in a road loss to Bemidji State on 10-6-18…a week later on 10-13-18, head 22 carries for 161 yards and a TD against St. Cloud State at Bob Young Field…first-team All-NSIC honoree was named the D2Football.com National Player of the Week after setting a single game USF rushing record of 320 yards on 19 carries with five TDs in a 55-21 road win at MSU Moorhead on 10-20-18…played just three quarters in that record-setting effort…on 10-27-18, had 29 carries for 185 yards and TDs against Upper Iowa…in a 31-21 road loss to No. 1 Minnesota State on 11-3-19, had 26 carries for 106 yards and two TDs….in a 26-7 home win on 11-10-19, had 33 carries for 149 yards and a TD against Wayne State…a three-time NSIC Player of the Week, recorded seven games of 150 yards or more with three games of at least 200 yards or more…scored two or more TDs in a game eight times and had at least three TDs four times…averaged 180.5 all-purpose yards and averaged 24.45 carries per game with a season high 33 against Wayne State…averaged 2.4 touchdowns per game.

2017 (SOPHOMORE): At Diablo Valley College, was a team captain...rushed 88 times for 449 yards, or 5.1 yards per carry, with six TDs in 11 games...also hauled in 19 catches for 265 yards and a TD.

HIGH SCHOOL: Played running back and cornerback at Piedmont (Calif.) High School...named the Piedmont High School Senior Male Athlete of the Year in 2016...selected first team on the West Alameda County All Conference team. He was a third team all-state running back as selected by CalHiSports and a three-time offensive MVP. For the Highlanders...averaged 8.4 yards per carry, scored 78 TDs and accumulated over 6,000 career all-purpose yards...also was a striker in Soccer and competed in Track (100 meters, hurdles) for the Highlanders...received the Golden Boot Award in soccer by scoring 13 goals in 2014-015...member of the Piedmont Honors Society,

PERSONAL: Son of Kristine Humphrey and Willie Watson...active in community service, participating in the Piedmont Community Church mission and helped build homes in Tijuana, Mexico...exercise science major.
