A two-sport athlete from Valley, Neb., Huston Farrens competed in football and track at DC West High School. As a junior, he was named First Team All-District in Class B. During his career, he recorded 34 receptions for 364 yards and one touchdown, along with 37 carries for 128 rushing yards.

Huston is the son of Scott and Trista Farrens. He is the brother of Major Farrens.
