High School

Cassens graduated from United South Central High School in Freeborn, Minnesota, where he competed in baseball, football, and track and field for the Rebels. He earned multiple academic honors, including Individual All-State Academic, four Conference All-Academic selections, and National Honor Society membership. Athletically, he was a four-time All-District selection, an All-District Honorable Mention honoree, the 2024 District Underclassman of the Year, and the 2025 All-District Lineman of the Year.

Cassens is the son of LaRae and Andrew Cassens and has one sibling, Emily (21).
