Career
Jake has been a consistent contributor to the USF Football Team over multiple seasons. In 2024, his redshirt senior year, he earned NSIC All-Academic Team of Excellence honors, played in 11 games, and recorded 8 total tackles along with 1 block. In 2023, he was named to the NSIC Fall All-Academic Team of Excellence, appeared in 11 games, and recorded 13 total tackles and 1 fumble recovery, also earning the D2 ADA Academic Achievement Award. In 2022, he played in two games and recorded three tackles.

High School
Hoch was a multi-sport athlete at St. Mary’s Springs Academy, playing football, hockey, and competing in track and field. On the football field, he lined up at outside linebacker, guard, tackle, running back, and tight end. He was also a center on the hockey team and a sprinter in track and field. Over his high school football career, he tallied 223 tackles, 25 tackles for loss, three sacks, three forced fumbles, and seven fumble recoveries. His honors include second team all-conference running back in 2018, honorable mention all-state tight end in 2019, first team all-region tight end in 2019, and two-time first team all-conference and all-region outside linebacker. He was named the 2019 All-Region Defensive Player of the Year and earned all-state honors twice as an outside linebacker. Hoch was a team captain in 2019 and helped his teams win state championships in 2017, 2018, and 2019. In track, he was an eight-time all-conference sprinter, and his hockey team won Wisconsin Sectional Championships in 2017 and 2018. Academically, Jake is a member of the National Honor Society, was named 2019 WFCA Academic All-State Football, received the Level Four Academic Award, and made the High Honor Roll.
Personal
Jake is the son of Bill and Karen Hoch. He has two siblings, Bailey and Elizabeth.
