2024 (Freshman)

Nielsen redshirted his first season with the Cougars.

High School

At Akron Westfield, Kasey competed in football, baseball, basketball, and golf for the Westerners. He was named the Right Tackle District I Lineman of the Year and earned a spot on the Academic All-District Team. As a leader, he served as a team captain and recorded 19 offensive starts. In baseball, Nielsen was a Second Team All-Conference and All-District selection. Kasey was also a member of the National Honor Society.

He is the son of Melea and Luke Nielsen and has a sibling named Natalie.
