Kurtiss Riggs begins his fifth year as the quarterbacks coach at USF. Last season he guided first year quarterback Lorenzo Brown to a stellar season and will look to build upon his progress in the 2009 season. Under the direction of Riggs, USF"?quarterback Chad Cavender was the Victory Sports Network NAIA Player of the Year in 2006 and earned the NAIA"?Player of the Year Award in 2007, which is awarded annually to the nation's top player. Riggs set numerous career and single seasons school records, earned All-American Honors and quarterbacked the Cougars to their first national title in 1996. Riggs also serves as the head coach of the four-time champion Sioux Falls Storm of the United Indoor Football League.
